Art Therapy
I practise psychodynamic art therapy, which is not a formula but a personal and individual journey made in the company of a trained therapist. My role is to be the safe person who can facilitate a safe enough space to enable this journey to happen.
A preliminary interview is the first step, where the client expresses their desires and I help them to imagine how my services could be best tailored to suit their needs. Goals, pricing and scheduling are initially agreed upon during this interview and consent given.
Minors or vulnerable adults must be accompanied by a parent or carer during the preliminary interview and give their consent to proposed service provision.
All sessions including group sessions are individually tailored and client centred.
All sessions will include a creative invitation to help you engage in the creating or making journey; a journey where you will engage your hands and heart and mind and use words only if you want to.
I adhere to the professional and ethical guidelines of my profession, including guaranteed client confidentiality and secure data storage.
Sessions include:
1. One to one art therapy sessions
2. Small group art therapy sessions (max 6)
3. Family art therapy sessions (this will usually include a mix of individual or group sessions for the different family members involved)
Venue price and scheduling are agreed upon during the preliminary interview.
